Vesak Celebration

A full day marking the birth, awakening and passing of the Buddha: chanting from dawn, an alms offering at noon, lantern making with the children, and an evening of devotional singing.

Kathina Robe Offering

The annual offering of robes at the close of the rains retreat, one of the most significant occasions in the temple year. The ceremony is followed by a shared meal.

Weekend Meditation Retreat

A two-day silent retreat on Vipassana practice, guided by the resident monks. Includes vegetarian meals; a contribution of CHF 80 covers costs. Places are limited, so please register in advance.

Children's Dhamma School

Sunday classes for children aged six to fourteen: stories from the life of the Buddha, simple meditation, crafts and Sinhala language.

Full Moon Puja

Our monthly full moon observance: chanting, an offering of lights, and meditation, followed by tea in the community hall. Everyone is welcome.

Morning Meditation Session

Join our daily morning practice: forty minutes of sitting, ten of walking, and a short talk. Suitable for complete beginners; cushions and chairs are provided.

Dhamma Talk: The Four Noble Truths

An introductory talk on the teaching the Buddha gave first, and the one all the others rest on. Held in English with Sinhala summary.
